GERIGAT FISHING VILLAGE

Jelly fish fishing is an important source of income for the fishermen in Gerigat. During the season, abundant jelly fish "swim" or float to the sea near Gerigat, fishermen just need to literally pulled them out from the sea water. Gerigat is an important production village for jelly fish, which sell to international market other than local market, which usually play a minor part of this sea food.

KABONG

A small town with surrounding several Malay fishing villages. The wooden houses dotted along the shore form a kampong. Most of Kampung houses are built on stilts, standing by the seaside which provide a magnificient seaview. Great opportunities for shopping local dry fishes and other seafood products if in the right season.

Proceed to the Gula Apong (Palm Sugar) processing site, gula apong is a Nipah Palm base product. From collecting the sap and and boil it about 6 – 8 hours with continuous stirring to evaporate the water content. About 10 litres of sap produce 1 kg of Gula Apong. Visit other cottage industries such as making Tanjak Melayu (Malay Headgear) and Gula Tarik (Pulling Sweets)

Important Remarks

All paid bookings under the SSS 2.0 are non-refundable.
Customers agree that their purchased tour(s) will be delegated to one of our trusted Consortium Agent / Consortium Vendor who will contact the Customer for further arrangments and details regarding the booking, in up to five (05) working days after the booking has been made. Customers are not allowed to request for any specific agent to handle their tours, upon purchase.
Take note that the cut-off date for booking is six (06) days before the traveling date.
Customers to inform their respective delegated Consortium Agent, should they wish to make changes to their booking, up to two (02) times only and at latest forty eight (48) hours before the booking date. This applies to cases such as;
Postponement of traveling date.
Customer(s) replacement.
Group Bookings only for all packages under the Sia Sitok Sarawak 2.0 - Min 2 pax per booking, unless specified.
Optional Insurance could be available for purchase, but all insurance related matters are to be between the Customer and the Consortium Agent / Vendor.
